They recorded an astonishing number of albums (about half a dozen) and singles in the mid-'60s; the "Wipe Out" follow-up, "Point Panic," was the only one to struggle up to the middle of the charts.

Jim Fuller played with his own band, "Jim Fuller and the Beatnik", and died on 3 March 2017 in Monrovia, California at age 69.
Our organization currently handles for mechanical licensing The Surfaris' 2005 masters of Wipe Out complete with "laugh" and Surfer Joe. Connolly has since left the music business.

Led by Jimmy Stephens, the light-singing Safaris hit the first time out with "Image of a Girl" (number seven Billboard) in 1960 on Eldo Records, but the So Cal based group never had another one.
