One girl behind us slid quite some distance.
This is one of my new favorite trails. Great hike. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash. And be sure to bring a lot of water I would say like 7 water bottles or 2 40oz bottles. This trail map is for the red trail (inspiration point), green trail (lower Mesa), and the switch back trail.
Forget trail map . Inspiration Point is a 5.7 mile out and back trail located near Scottsdale, Arizona that offers scenic views and is rated as moderate.
A lot of scenery and a great hiking trail that’s not too terribly far from the city. Inspiration Point is accessible via the Jenny Lake Loop Trail (5.8 miles RT) or by taking the shuttle boat to shorten the hike (2 miles RT).
nothing prepared me for the amount of rattlesnakes we encountered. Rocky with a mix of creek bead and wooded trails. Walking sticks helped.
The entire trail was muddy.
my daughter had one 3 inches from her face at one point and almost stepped on another - we saw about 10 total. I had to use the app several times.
hardly any very elevation change and the “views” are of a pond. Bring good shoes and come early so that you won’t catch the heat, this trail took me like 8 hours but I loved it!
Inspiration Point via Sam Merril Trail to Castle Canyon Trail is a 9.4 mile heavily trafficked out and back trail located near Altadena, California that offers the chance to see wildlife and is rated as difficult. Beautiful trail. That was my only irritation. The trail is overgrown a bit but nothing to bad. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=scTZre5acFY&t=232s 80% of the people I saw hiking are not wearing a mask. Slightly different than what is listed here. We didn't see any snakes but the terrain is favorable for sightings. If you don’t have signal, it’ll be difficult. There is a part of the loop that becomes more woodsy and it’s beautiful!
From the PCH, head inland on Chautauqua Blvd (approximately 1 mile north of the Santa Monica pier). Excellent trail. If I hadn’t of driven about 3 hours to hike here, I wouldn’t have hiked (I try not to tear up trails). Inspiration Point Loop Trail is a 9 mile heavily trafficked loop trail located near Altadena, California that features beautiful wild flowers and is rated as difficult.
Did this trail a few years ago, so we knew we would walk around circles for several hours.Nice moderate trail. Make sure to bring one.It was such a great trail! 2 miles) is very narrow and overgrown. I didn’t wear one when I got on the inspirational point trail cause I was by myself most of the way. First time doing this one and really enjoyed going up and coming down. I don’t recommend going in the summer months like we did.
Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.
I didn’t expect that to be an issue, but mannnnnn. The only issue we had was the trails are not marked well. Great trail! But overall it was a great workout.
I hiked the whole thing today, and my Apple Watch registered a 7.02 mile hike with a 643 ft elevation gain. Amazing view from inspiration point.Good trails to hike. We heard some rattlesnakes but never saw any. Hiking shoes would be a plus as it does get rocky!
It is good for all seasons. Approximately 5.5 hours long.
** Left one of my Mountain Cascade pole at Inspiration Point today (7/25/2020) :( If anyone finds it, please dm me @1214.jy **
We were completely soaked by sweat.
Length 9.0 mi Elevation gain 2,746 ft Route type Loop But coming down definitely keep it close by. Took the kids (8,5) and they had a blast.
