Located in downtown Knoxville right in the center of the Worlds Fair which is kinda interesting cause it shows they want foreign business and I was glad not to see China's flag up there cause quite frankly they dont deserve to be there after what they did to the rest of the world but there was no world fair there because of the covid.Built for the 1982 World's Fair in Knoxville, this was the centerpiece of the city.

The actual Sunsphere is very cool. Of course, you can walk the stairs if you're up to it.

Interesting to learn about the history of it- wish they actually had more there to educate an unknowing Texan gal like myself.Pretty cool for a free experience. Sunset time is a beautiful...My friends and I had time to kill before our flight home so we spent the day exploring Knoxville...THE BEST FOOD, EMPLOYEES, BEST CHEF in Knoxville (BRUCE BOGARTZ) and vest view at sunset, actually anytime! Sunsphere Events staff (specifically the owners and operators) were extremely rude to us and our family on our wedding day, but also neglected to set up a third of the tables and chairs we'd requested and they had approved. There are fun local facts posted from the elevator to the top. This is the version of our website addressed to speakers of Chef Scott is also Servsafe covid certified providing a sanitized and contact free dining experience. It is no charge to take the elevator up to the 4th floor observatory level that offers a 360 degree view of Knoxville in an air conditioned setting. It's very easy to get to the top, just take a surprisingly short elevator ride. There was a ton of available parking in the nearby garages.

However, if you choose to endure it, the view is nice. Come Visit.
