Beautiful art, but the management has utterly failed to maintain the ground and forests. A centerpiece of the 152-acre property is a c. 1920 sunken garden designed by landscape architect Beatrix Farrand, today the site of the Sunken Garden Poetry Festival. Cocktails were served on the patio so our guests had access to the museum and sunken gardens. The website touts impressionist paintings by Monet, Whistler, Cassatt, and Degas. The desk clerk explained the hotel's amenities clearly.
