is a fixed shooter arcade game, originally developed and manufactured by Namco in 1987. Galaga '88 (ギャラガ'88 Gyaraga 'Eiti Eito?) If you do that, you will be awarded the bonus as a "secret bonus". Even after you reach the fifth and final dimension, it is still possible to collect them. If you beat a final boss, an image of the defeated boss will appear in the middle of the graph. Which bonus stage you participate in is determined by your dimension. Note, however, that you effectively forfeit any of the other points that come with destroying the enemies throughout the course of the stage. If this happens, the two Fighters will merge and create a blue captured Fighter. Since your score is determined by the number of enemies you destroy out of 40, any bonus stages that do not contain 40 enemies gives you credit for the difference for free. There are five different Dimension in Galaga '88. The blue capsules can be collected in one of two ways. If you manage to destroy every enemy, you are given a large sum of bonus points. New to Galaga '88, they also have a unique ability. Dimensions differ from one another primarily by the enemies that they are composed of.
However, some enemies are unique to particular dimensions, e.g. To change your dimension, you must collect two blue warp capsules. This method is not available in every stage, including the first two. Regardless of what dimension path you take through the game, you will be given six opportunities to participate in bonus stages before the end of the game. Most stages follow the same basic flow; pre-formation, formation, and break down. If you destroy the first one that forms in a stage, it is likely to leave a blue warp capsule behind, if you don't have two capsules already. The first involves destroying any of the container objects that occupy the middle of the screen during the pre-formation portion of the stage. The second method is to destroy the combined form of a goei enemy. The number of enemies that appear is usually 40, but not always. This game is colorful and hard to focus on, due to the colorful backgrounds of the zones, like the Space Flower Zone, with colorful pink flowers. The game features a final boss named King Galaspark (GA-luh-spahrk) , The leader of Galaxians. As a result, it is impossible to complete the game from Dimension 1. Collecting one will instantly transform your Fighter into a triple formation with no cost at all to your remaining lives.

Worth 80 points if killed in the formation, 160 points if killed while attacking. Gameplay is similar to the original Galaxian and Galaga ; the player fires projectiles at the Galaga aliens in each level, which will fly into formation from the top and sides of the screen. There are two different kinds of capsules that can be collected throughout the game. This means if you have two Fighters linked together, you can fire up to four missiles at a time. If you're new to the game, and aren't familiar with the movement of your Fighter, as well and the enemy and their bullets, start off as a single Fighter until you get the hang of things. Below these numbers is a graph showing which dimensions you traveled in as you played through each leg of the game. You are shown the number of shots you fired, the number of hits you made, and your hit-to-miss ratio. Also note that you will automatically travel to Dimension 2 if you complete Stage 10 while still in Dimension 1. In each bonus stage, a number of enemies appear from both sides of the screen. From StrategyWiki, the video game walkthrough and strategy guide wikiYou can also obtain the large bonus point reward by not shooting your Fighter's guns once throughout the entire stage.
As a double Fighter, you start the game off with one fewer life, but better fire power. New to Galaga '88 is the potential for a double Fighter configuration to be captured by a boss Galaga. Collecting one will make your ship invincible for a very short period. However, if you start off as a double Fighter, it will take less effort to achieve the Triple Fighter, since you only need to be capture by a Boss Galaga once. You can move left or right, but you are relegated to the bottom of the screen. It is the third sequel for Galaxian (following Galaga… Destroying a second container object or combined goei will not provide you with any more capsules. Periodically the player encounters Challenging Stages, which are set to music and feature "dancing" enemies. Galaga seems to represent something of a "sweet spot" in game design, having performed better than either its predecessor or its successor, Gaplus (which was later renamed to "Galaga 3" when it was released in the United States to increase recognition and boost sales). If you only have one capsule, or you are already in the fifth and final dimension, the capsule will rise to the middle of the screen and disappear. So it's only natural that Galaga '88 contains them as well. However, unlike its predecessor, there are only a limited number of stages to visit and the tally will stop at stage 29. Once you have collected two of them, they will create a dimensional rift after you have cleared the next bonus stage. Galaga Arrangement is a vertical shooter where 2 players can fight along side each other, simultaniously. In Galaga '88, the player assumes control of a starship named the Blast Fighter in its mission to destroy the Galaga forces and their home planet. Your game will end under two conditions: you lose all your lives, or you defeat the final boss at the end of Stage 29. A triple Fighter can shoot three bullets simultaneously, creating a wave of force that few enemies can escape. From StrategyWiki, the video game walkthrough and strategy guide wiki You will only be given one warp capsule for either method per stage.
