That's not something I'd carry around if I'm out of the base for long time. e would work awesomly, having great singeplayer skills (the cool goggles) and multiplayer skills (the Thumper and Telibrella/pad) By the time you can get stone-fruit, you could have pig/bunny/actual farms. Usually you'd expect honeyed foods to last longer, but this is not the case as this one lasts just 6 days. I like your points here and this comes closest to rewording my thoughts with more optimism.
I know I'm late to the party, but as someone who enjoys a lot of story/character driven games, there are times when I also feel that the lore in DS/DST is a bit incohesive and random. Wagstaff. Successfully completing Adventure mode, Gorge, Forge (the last two with changes to fit the game admittedly) for some worthwhile reward is the kind of thing I'm talking about. But most important of ALL I would still have to buy the Add ons (which I already have) to host Shipwrecked or Hamlet Themed worlds. Why? The ocean content is huge and will likely take them (in my estimation) at least another year to complete.
